Who we are

Educational Psychology work is conducted by Paul Eames, Chartered Educational Psychologist (BPS Chartered and HCPC registered Psychologist). We occasionally work with other Educational Psychologists whom we have worked with in the past and know well.

Ria is a (BACP registered) Person-Centred Counsellor and therapist operating face-to-face and online counselling appointments in Bexhill, Hastings, Eastbourne and further afield.

Paul Eames has worked as an Educational Psychologist and Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist in East Sussex County Council for many years.

Paul previously managed a large team of specialist dyslexia teachers in East Sussex Council and was responsible for the area of language, literacy and specific learning difficulties in the County.

Paul is a qualified teacher.

Paul has worked in private practice for over 10 years. A few years ago, Paul moved into private practice full time, in order to reach a wider range of clients.

Having worked in the private healthcare insurance industry for several years, Ria decided to combine her passion with her work and trained to be a counsellor.

Ria is a qualified and registered Counsellor based in Bexhill, East Sussex. She has a degree in Person Centred Counselling, having amassed experience in the areas of bereavement, loss, terminally ill, suicide, substance misuse, and working with adolescents’ mental health.

Ria continues to grow her ever growing tool kit, using person centred principles, motivational interviewing, solution focused methods and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Online counselling, bereavement counselling and anxiety are areas of expertise, alongside ACT. Ria has interests relating to bereavement & loss, anxiety, panic, mental health, and in practically helping others be the best they can be.
